Parka-land Walks

When Curvissa got in touch regarding a product review of their recent lines, I jumped at this Parka that was screeching out to me across my laptop screen.  I'm not a big fan of coats, sounds silly, but I've never been able to find one that fits perfectly over my larger bust and odd shoulder size so it's naturally proved coat shopping difficult.  So having been impressed with a few bits I've bought from the range recently, I decided to give this a try.

I loved the earthy tones of the coat, the wearability of it appealed to me and the double zip synced with how I prefer to dress my body shape.  It's also keeping in trend with the revival of Parka jackets we're seeing on the high street right now.
It's getting to that time of year when you need to start thinking about taking along a light weight coat or jacket if you're going to be outside for a long period of time, so I thought I'd test this baby out on a Woodland walk with my little brother and the dog, Charlie Chops.

I love how light the jacket was, it wasn't heavy at all and was perfect to wear throughout the afternoon.  The pockets are really deep and great for packing your essentials (car keys, phone, dog poo bags... eurgh), and I still adore the double zip.
The length is great for me, being a taller girl, both in the arm length and drop. I also loved how big the hood was, I felt like a druid trudging in the Woodland! Perfect for keeping those showers at bay from your freshly blown dried hair!
My only criticism? I'd say though that you'd have to team this with a scarf and some serious mittens if the weather drops, as whilst it kept me nice and toasty during the Autumnal walk it won't really suffice in the Winter.  In my opinion, this is a seasonal transitional jacket, perfect for the weather just as it is right now before Mr Frosty blows into town.

Check out Curvissa now!

Many thanks to Curvissa for providing the coat.
